It can be difficult to sit down and
write about yourself, so I’ll start with the basics.
I’ve been hiking since
I was 13 or so, riding motorcycles for 6 years, and I’ve
loved taking pictures through all of it. It was really gratifying
when a house guest asked mom where she got those stunning wildflower
pictures and she beamed as she told them that I had taken them.
It was encouraging to hear the responses from the first track
day that I shot for fun to add another skill set to my photography
knowledge. But the piece of the puzzle that brought it all together
is my husband Ben. I met him in the spring of 2002 at Deals Gap.
He was a crazy Canadian on vacation, and I was just a local out
for a ride when we met. In only 5 months, I was married and living
in Canada. He is the most beautiful person I’ve ever known,
and he has given me all the courage and support I’ve needed
to take this step.
